- Be sure to use kosher salt and coarse ground pepper or the flavor balance will be off. This is important!
- You can substitute cayenne for chipotle if you wish but you'll lose that fabulous smoky flavor.

- 3 teaspoons Garlic powder
- 3 teaspoons Onion powder
- 3 teaspoons Sage, dried
- 3 teaspoons Black pepper, ground
- 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
- 1.5 teaspoon Paprika
- ⅓ cup Kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon chipotle
Instructions
- Measure all of the ingredients into a bowl.
- Mix with a whisk or a spoon until well blended.
- Spoon into a 4 ounce jelly jar or other container with a tight fitting lid.
- Use about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat or as desired.
Notes
- If you'd like it spicier you can add more chipotle or a ¼ teaspoon of cayenne.
- Mix a teaspoon or so into ¼ cup softened butter as a delicious spread for bread.
- If you live in a humid climate prevent caking by adding 3 dried beans (big ones like pinto, kidney, etc) to the jar. When you shake the seasoned salt up they will break up the clumps and the salt will blend better.
- For seasoning meat before cooking use about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat.
- Add to cold dishes just before serving for best flavor.

Omg I put this on chicken wings and then Air fryer. They were so salty we couldn’t even eat them. I would say use sparingly.
