This smoky, spicy blend is pretty close to Popeye's seasoning salt recipe! Gives meats, veggies, and other savory foods a mouthwatering kick! And of course, it's amazing on chicken of all kinds!
Spoon into a 4 ounce jelly jar or other container with a tight fitting lid.
Use about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat or as desired.

If you'd like it spicier you can add more chipotle or a ¼ teaspoon of cayenne.
Mix a teaspoon or so into ¼ cup softened butter as a delicious spread for bread.
If you live in a humid climate prevent caking by adding 3 dried beans (big ones like pinto, kidney, etc) to the jar. When you shake the seasoned salt up they will break up the clumps and the salt will blend better.
For seasoning meat before cooking use about 1 teaspoon per pound of meat.
Add to cold dishes just before serving for best flavor.
