This Mango Tequila Sunrise cocktail recipe is full of Caribbean flavor from the orange and mango juices. It gets its gorgeous color from grenadine but make sure you're using the good stuff. It matters.

I used an orange mango combination juice because I like it that way but you can easily just use orange juice. Also, if you want to make this a yummy, alcohol free drink you can make it with just the orange juice and grenadine with maybe a little club soda for sparkle.

  • Cocktail Shaker
  • Highball glasses
  • Real grenadine

🥫 Storage

If you are making this mango juice cocktail ahead of time you can store them in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator. They'll be fine for a day or two.

💭 Tips

Expert Tip:Use silver tequila or tequila blanco. It keeps the colors from muddying.

  • This is a simple drink - basically orange juice, tequila, and grenadine. Because it is so simple it's vital that you use really good tequila.
  • Not all grenadine is equal! Find some real grenadine made from pomegranate juice.
  • The trick to the gorgeous color is to shake your tequila and orange-mango juice with the ice and add it to the glass then slowly add the grenadine down the side. It will sink to the bottom and slowly mix with the orange. That's what gives this Tequila Sunrise recipe its beautiful color.
  • Use tall narrow (highball) glasses for the prettiest presentation.
  • Add a splash of club soda to lighten the drink up and give it some bubbles.

📞 The last word

I've decided to start February off with a Mango Tequila Sunrise recipe... because I don't know about you but I am really ready for a Caribbean vacation.

So, this month with be cocktails with a Caribbean flare -- kind of what you'd find on a cruise or be served when you're reclined on a chaise on the beach. You know, something like that.

It's not like the cocktail is going to make you think you are in the Caribbean -- unless of course you drink gallons of it -- but it may help you think happy, sunny thoughts on a cold, slushy afternoon.

mango tequila sunrise is an easy, refreshing cocktail that isn't too girly or too boozy. restlesschipotle.com

This is delicious. Feel free to add more orange juice if you like. I tend to like a less "boozy" drink so I usually add more juice.

It makes an awesome cocktail for a cocktail party. Go a little lighter on the tequila and it is fantastic with your Valentine's Day, oh so romantic, brunch.

If you click on the number of servings in the recipe card you can adjust the measurements up or down for the exact number of servings you need. Don't forget that you can click on "add to collection" to save it to your own, private recipe box!

I love simple drinks and this one is gorgeous. I love how you garnished it! I have a feeling if I drink a few of these I would definitely be thinking I was in the Caribbean! As long as I don't go strutting my stuff in a bikini in the front yard during these frigid months, I'm good with thinking I'm in the Caribbean. lol
