❤️ Why you'll love it

  • Easy donut recipe to make in the air fryer that gives you fluffy and flaky donuts with a sweet cinnamon sugar coating from canned biscuits!
  • You only need a few simple ingredients to make this recipe.
  • Skip the line at the local donut shop and make these at home -they're done in minutes!

I've made a lot of donut recipes but this one is the best because it has pretty much 0 prep time - and in less than 5 minutes I'm shoving a warm, sugary donut in my mouth.

Yum.

🥫 Storage

These air fryer biscuit donuts are honestly best eaten warm and fresh.

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days. If using plastic wrap, wrap them tightly.

You can freeze them for up to 3 months but they're so quick and easy I wouldn't bother.

📖 Variations

  • Swap out the cinnamon sugar for plain granulated sugar or powdered sugar.
  • Instead of cinnamon sugar on the outside, dip the donuts in a simple vanilla glaze.
  • A chocolate glaze will make for a rich chocolate flavor.

💭 Tips

Expert Tip: I've found it's easier to use my fingers to remove the middle instead of trying to cut it out. You can also use a very small, round biscuit or cookie cutter.

  • Be sure to brush the air fryer basket with butter so that the donuts do not stick.
  • Cooking time can vary so check the donuts for doneness a couple of times.
  • I've found that the smaller canned biscuits work best.
  • The centers can be air fried and made into doughnut holes.
  • Make sure that you brush the donuts with butter while they are fresh out of the air fryer.
  • Serve these warm for the best results. Leftover donuts get stale really fast but you can warm them in the microwave to freshen them up.
