👩‍🍳 FAQs

Can I use fresh pineapple chunks in this teriyaki chicken recipe?

Sure! If you've got fresh pineapple use it but you'll want to add a little pineapple juice or water to the slow cooker.

Is it better to cook chicken on high or low in crockpot?

Always cook on low. Cooking on high can make chicken tough.

Is teriyaki sauce the same as teriyaki marinade?

No. Teriyaki sauce is thicker.

Can dogs eat teriyaki chicken?

Nope. First of all, it's really high in salt! Plus, Teriyaki sauce is made with ingredients like garlic that can be toxic to your pet.

I drained the pineapple, then when the chickens was all done, I made a slurry with 2 TBS of cornstarch and the pineapple juice. Awesome!! Just a suggestion. It was so good! Thank you so much, Marye.
