❤️ Why you'll love this recipe

I like quick and easy and there is nothing quicker or easier than this IRA whiskey shot. The best thing about shooters made with Bailey's is that they are so creamy- there's no burn on the way down!

Yep - it's a girlie drink.

The whole deal behind these is that supposedly if you pour the alcohol in the glass in the right order it will fizz and sort of boil up in a cool sort of way.

I am here to tell you that I made several and not one fizzed. Not even once.

They were still really, really good.

🧾 Ingredients

  • Kahlua
  • Irish whiskey
  • Bailey's Irish Cream

🔪 Instructions

Kahlua, Bailey's, and Jameson Irish whiskey are poured in layers in a shot glass. I always think of these kinds of drinks as being for dessert but there is no reason they can't start out the party, too.

  1. Add the Bailey's to the shot glass.
  2. Place an upside down spoon in the glass and add the Kahlua.
  3. Carefully add the Jameson in the same way.

You can also just blend this Bailey's shooter together and dump it in a strong cup of coffee for a delicious Irish coffee! It's heavenly!

❤️ Tips

Expert Tip: This layered Bailey's shot is easiest to make if everything is at room temperature.

  • Make these where you plan on serving them - don't carry them in from the kitchen. The more they get jostled around the more the layers blend together.
  • Once they're poured the layers will continue to separate for a few minutes.
  • You can't really make them very far ahead of time.

The picture shows the Kahlua on the bottom. The Bailey's in the middle and the Jameson on the top. Not as directions written.
