This IRA whiskey shot recipe is a quick, sweet way to get the party started or help it wind down. Made with Jameson Irish Whiskey, Bailey’s, and Kahlua it is one of those drinks that’s hard to resist.
I like quick and easy and there is nothing quicker or easier than this IRA whiskey shot. The whole deal behind these is that supposedly if you pour the alcohol in the glass in the right order it will fizz and sort of boil up in a cool sort of way. I am here to tell you that I made several and not one fizzed. Not even once.
They were still good.
Kahlua, Bailey’s, and Jameson Whiskey are poured in layers in a shot glass. It creates kind of a creamy, chocolatey, latte with a kick. I always think of these kinds of drinks as being for dessert but there is no reason they can’t start out the party, too.
You’ll be happy to know that since I took these pictures I bought cute little shot glasses so I won’t be using the complimentary glasses from other companies or the crazy ones from Jamaica, Mexico, Cayman, and other places that we’ve gathered them from.
If you don’t want to use this for shots then make it and dump it into your coffee. It is heavenly!
