🧾 Ingredients
This is such an easy cocktail! I love it for summer entertaining because it's pretty, it's light, and it's refreshing!
- Vodka - some people like to use flavored vodkas - I prefer plain but try a few different flavors to see what you like best.
- Blue Curacao
- Lemonade
- Lime is mainly for garnish but it does at a little extra burst of flavor.
- Lemons
- Club soda or lemon-lime soda - this really depends on how sweet you like it.
🔪 Instructions
This electric lemonade cocktail goes together really fast and easy!
- Add vodka, blue curaçao, lemonade to an ice filled shaker.
- Shake well. This adds oxygen bubbles to the mixture which enhances the flavor.
- Strain into an ice filled glass.
- Add the club soda or lemon lime soda to taste.
- Squeeze in a little lime and lemon.
- Add a lime and/or lemon wheel for garnish.
📖 Variations
Got kids? Make them their own, kid friendly, non-alcoholic Electric Lemonade mocktail by mixing half blue Kool Aid and half Sprite, then dropping in a lime wheel.
You can use the blue gatorade instead of the Kool Aid.
💭 Tips
Expert Tip: Pour the mixture into a freezer container and freeze until slushy! It's so good that way!

📞 The last word
Personally, I don't think there's anything as civilized as the practice of cocktails by the pool in the summer. Not that I have a pool but sometimes I'll stick my feet in the old horse tank and pretend.
To me, a cocktail like this beautiful, blue electric lemonade recipe is a way to force myself to take a break and allow myself to relax. It breaks the day up between work and not-work.
Kinda tastes like a vacation.
Shake up this pretty, blue summer cocktail and let the party begin! It makes a great pitcher drink, too.
