🥫 Storage

This crescent roll taco pizza is best eaten within a few hours of making it. The longer it sits the more you risk a soggy crust.

If you must store it cover it with plastic wrap or put in an airtight container and refrigerate.

You could freeze this before you put the vegetables on it. Bake the crust as directed, let cool, then spread with the cream cheese mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for up to 3 months.

📖 Variations

  • Use grilled chicken instead of taco meat.
  • Add refried beans, black beans, or pinto beans.
  • Spoon guacamole on top.
  • Black olives are a delicious addition.
  • Corn, especially roasted corn, works really well on this.
  • Use Catalina dressing instead of taco sauce to drizzle over the top.
  • You could make this with pizza dough if you prefer.
  • Sprinkle chopped green onion over the top.

💭 Tips

Expert Tip: The refrigerated crescent rolls work better for this recipe than the crescent rolls sheets.

  • Be sure your baked crescent roll crust is cool before adding the rest of the ingredients or the cream cheese layer will melt.
  • This is best eaten within a few hours of making. The crust gets a little soggy the next day.
  • Easy taco pizza makes a great appetizer when you cut it in small slices.
  • Wait to put the vegetables on top until just before serving.

👩‍🍳 FAQs

Can I use the new crescent roll sheets instead of the crescent rolls?

You can! I don't like the texture of them as well in the finished pizza but you can certainly use them.

What is taco pizza made of?

All your favorite taco ingredients on either an easy crescent roll crust or a regular pizza crust.
