Sparkling Lavender Punch
Lavender punch is a sparkly non-alcoholic drink that's made with homemade lavender simple syrup, lemon, and ginger ale.

Ingredients

water

cups
sugar

culinary lavender buds

lemon juice

ginger ale

Instructions
Heat the 2 ½ cups of water and 1 ½ cups of sugar.
Bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar completely dissolves.
Remove from heat and add the lavender.
Allow the mixture to come to room temperature or let stand overnight.
Strain out the lavender buds.
Add the strained lavender syrup to a punch bowl.
Add the other 2 ½ cups of water and 1 cup of lemon juice.
Stir well.
Just before serving add the gingerale.
Notes
Tips:
Use culinary-grade lavender to ensure it's safe for consumption.
Adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar to taste.
For a stronger lavender flavor, let the syrup steep longer before straining or use an extra teaspoon or two of lavender.
Beware! Too much lavender can make it taste like licking your grandma's perfume.
