Sweet, creamy cinnamon honey butter is whipped until light and fluffy, with a tiny touch of smoky chipotle that deepens the warm cinnamon flavor without adding noticeable heat. We love it with warm biscuits, rolls, pancakes and waffles. 6 ingredients and done in 5 minutes!
2 ½teaspoonsground cinnamon or 3 if you'd like a little more
½teaspoonvanilla extract
⅛teaspoonchipotleoptional
Instructions
Add the softened butter to a medium bowl and whip until light and fluffy.
If powdered sugar is lumpy sift it or break up the lumps. Beat in the powdered sugar with a hand mixer for 2 to 3 minutes, or until smooth, light, and fluffy.
Add in the remaining ingredients and whip.
Serve immediately or refrigerate until needed. Let refrigerated butter soften at room temperature before serving.
Notes
Storage:Store in an airtight container at room temperature 2-3 days or in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks. Freeze for up to 3 months. Tips:
Cinnamon honey butter is better if you refrigerate it for a few hours before serving.
Start with very soft butter. Room-temperature butter whips up lighter and smoother. If it's still cool and firm, you'll spend several minutes chasing lumps around the bowl.
Whip it longer than you think. Give it a full 2 to 3 minutes with the hand mixer. You're looking for noticeably lighter, fluffier butter, not merely ingredients that have agreed to coexist.
Go easy on the chipotle. It should deepen the cinnamon and add a little smoky warmth, not announce itself. Taste after whipping and adjust if needed.
