Top off the pitcher with club soda before serving.
Notes
StorageStore, tightly covered with plastic wrap, in the refrigerator. If you are storing the pitcher of margaritas overnight it's best to skim the fruit out first because it breaks down and makes the cocktail cloudy. Some people like to take the fruit and blend it into a puree to add to the pitcher just before serving.Expert Tip: If you make this pitcher of margaritas more than a couple of hours ahead of time the color of the fruit will "bleed" into the drink and make it a little cloudy.
This cocktail it does need to be refrigerated for at least an hour for the flavors to really pop - but not more than 2 hours ahead.
Add a little sugar if the fruit isn't fully ripe and sweet.
Feel free to add sugar or salt to the rim of the glasses.
Sometimes I add chili powder or tajin to the rims.
If you don't have margarita glasses use on the rocks glasses.
