Valentine's Day popcorn is an easy, no bake snack recipe that takes just minutes! Add your favorite mix-ins like dried fruit, nuts, and candies to make it your own original recipe.
Spread on a cookie sheet that's been covered with parchment paper and remove the unpopped kernels.
Set aside.
Place the candy melts in microwave safe bowls, one for each color.
Microwave each on 50% power for 30 seconds then stir, repeat in 15 second intervals until melted and smooth - OR according to manufacturers instructions.
Drizzle the white candy melts over the cookie sheet of popcorn.
Toss to coat.
Spread out and drizzle the pink over the top.
Add the sprinkles.
Refrigerate for 5 minutes.
If it has stuck together in big clumps break it up.
Add the m&ms, dried cranberries and any other ingredients.
Serve or bag.
Notes
Expert Tip: Use a name brand candy melt. I tried to use an off brand and it was terrible - you can see what happened. Just click on the video above.
Stir the candy melts often while melting.
Add the m&ms and other mix-ins after the chocolate has hardened - it looks prettier.
Be sure to take the time to pick out the unpopped kernels! It can save you a trip to the dentist.
Sending this to school for a class party? Add a cup or so of the mixture to small brown paper bags and tie with a pretty ribbon. Let the kids add stickers for decoration.
Pick up Valentine popcorn tins at your local craft store. They come in large or small sizes and are perfect for storing this!
