Mix dry ingredients in a bowl and set aside.
Crack the eggs into a bowl.
Add the vanilla and coconut flavorings
Whisk until well blended.
Stir in buttermilk.
Melt the butter in a heavy saucepan. Add the water and bring to a boil.
Pour the hot butter mixture over flour mixture in the bowl, beating on low speed. Switch to medium and beat for 1 minute.
Add the buttermilk mixture and beat for one more minute then pour the batter into prepared pan. Smooth the batter out evenly and bake.

Melt butter in saucepan. Add the buttermilk. Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring occasionally.
Remove from heat and add the Confectioner’s sugar, pecans, coconut flavoring, and vanilla.
Mix quickly and spoon over warm cake.
