Easy Dr Pepper Baked Beans recipe is just right with burgers, bbq, and grilled foods all season long. Sweet, tangy, and just a little spicy - add this delicious side dish to all your summer potlucks, cookouts, and picnics.
Combine all of the ingredients and pour into a 2 quart baking dish.
Bake uncovered for 1 hour 15 minutes at 350 degrees, until bubbly.
Remove from oven and let sit for 5-10 minutes to thicken.

Storage:Leftover baked beans should be covered with plastic wrap or placed in an airtight container and refrigerated promptly.You can also freeze them for up to 6 months.TipsDon't store Dr Pepper baked beans in aluminum or cover with aluminum foil. The natural acids in the sauce react with the aluminum and can give an off flavor to the beans.
I like to fix these baked beans in an iron skillet. I can cook the bacon and onions then bake everything right in the same skillet.
Drain liquid from the beans or they will be too "juicy".
I like to use brown sugar pork and beans but you can use plain great northern beans or navy beans if you wish. I don't think the end result is as flavorful, though.
If you have time make these baked beans the day before you want to serve them - they're even better the next day.
