S'mores stuffed French toast is crispy with a tender inside surrounding a gooey chocolate and marshmallow filling. It's quick and easy in the air fryer!
In a flat bowl mix the eggs, milk, and vanilla together.
Place the graham crackers in a food processor and process for 10 seconds or place in a ziplock bag and crush the crackers with a rolling pin.
Dip one side of a piece of the bread in the egg mixture. Place dipped side down in graham cracker crumbs. Place bread, cracker side down in the air fryer basket.
Place half a candy bar on the bread and top with marshmallows.
Dip the second piece in the egg, then in the graham cracker crumbs. Lay the crumb side up over the marshmallows.
Repeat with remaining stuffed toast. Spray well with non stick cooking spray.
Turn the air fryer to 380° and set for 7 minutes. After 5 minutes flip the french toast over and spray with non stick cooking spray. Finish cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
Remove and serve immediately with syrup, whipped cream or chocolate pieces.
It is not recommended to store leftovers (most likely you won’t have any ;) ) they won’t be as nice when reheated.
Cut off the edges of the bread (not necessary, but kids like it better).
After trying both to dip the stuffed toast into the egg mixture and dip a side of bread then make the stuffed toast, I highly recommend dipping separately then combining. It is less messy!
You don't need to seal the bread - unless it's overfilled it should be fine.
Add plenty of marshmallows, they tend to melt into the bread and you will want them to be gooey.
When you flip the stuffed french toast, you can open it up and add more marshmallows.
Spray the slices with non stick cooking spray before cooking, then the other side when you flip it.
You can serve these with whipped cream, syrup, extra marshmallows and chocolate. You could even add sprinkles for different holidays!
Planning this as a dessert? You can make it with my pound cake recipe instead of bread. It's a little harder to work with but SO delicious!
