The stalks should be plump and moist.

Cream of Mushroom

Cheddar Cheese

Ritz Crackers


Trim Asparagus

Cut in bite sized pieces

Cook the asparagus until crisp-tender.


Cook the stems in simmering water about 2 minutes before adding the tips. The stems will be tender but the tips won't be mushy.

Drain & add a layer to a casserole dish

Add a layer of cream of mushroom soup

Add a layer of cheese.

Repeat Layers

Mix crackers & bacon grease (or butter). Top casserole with crumbs & bacon.

Bake for about 20 minutes or so.
