When I was contacted about trying Kind snack bars I was a little skeptical. I hate those cardboard flavored, calorie dense, fake health food snacks with a passion. If I am going to have that many calories and carbs I’d rather have something with flavor — like a chocolate shake. Anyway, I was in the midst of the chaos of Chris being home and summer vacation so I just replied “sure” and promptly forgot about them.
At least I forgot until the box showed up on my porch the day I was leaving for that quick trip to Missouri we took. I opened the box to check out the contents, threatened the kids with immediate death if they so much as drooled on a bar before I got back, and handed a couple to Erin, my oldest daughter, who was going with Marc and I on the trip. I figured I would try them when we got back, send a gracious letter explaining why I wasn’t going to review them, and get on with my blog.
I normally will give a company the option of having me sit on a review if the review isn’t good. You don’t see many reviews on the blog, do you? Yeah, there’s a reason for that.
Anyway, when I got back from Missouri I called the kids into the kitchen and began unwrapping bars. three pairs of eyes were focused on those bars, unblinkingly focused on those bars.
I took a nibble of the first one.
Wow. It was delicious! Pure shock rocked my system. The flavors were intense and clear, the nuts and grains were crunchy and crispy, and I had to use every bit of self discipline to not gobble down the bars all by myself.
I nibbled each one of them because, after all, it was research. I sadly pushed the remains of each bar towards the kids and watched longingly as they ate them.
They loved them.
If you like to keep these kinds of snacks on hand for the kids’ lunches or for road trips I honestly recommend them. I don’t think you can go wrong no matter which type you choose — they were all good. Really good. Delicious.
They are easy to drop in lunches and I can’t imagine anyone not liking them. Amazon carries them if you can’t find them locally. I’d suggest getting the sample pack so you can try them and see which you like the best. The link below is an affiliate link — if you follow it and buy something I will get a percentage of the sale but it won’t cost you anything extra. In other words? Feel free to shop Amazon through my blog anytime. It’s not much but it buys the occasional cup of coffee. 🙂
Disclaimer: The products were sent to me for review at no cost. My opinions are my own – these really are good.
