Christmas Gift Guide for the Overwhelmed Foodie
It's easy to become overwhelmed, especially around the holidays. I chose the everything in this Christmas gift guide to make life easier in some way. The links are affiliate links so you need to know that if you buy something I get a small commission which is used to support the blog. It doesn't affect your price at all -- so thank you!
For the Overwhelmed I-Must-Bake-My-Own-Bread-From-Fresh-Ground-Flour Foodie
For those who have been very, very, very good this year - this Bosch mixer is what I use for all of my bread kneading. It can hold up to six pounds of whole wheat dough and knead it all perfectly. I know because I've done it. Amazon has it on sale for about 180.00 off the regular price so it's a great deal.

For the Overwhelmed All-Of-The-Recipes-In-My-Favorite-Cookbook-Are-Measured-in-Weights Foodie
Etekcity 11lb/5kg Digital Kitchen Food Scale, Stainless Steel
Measuring ingredients by weight rather than volume is the best way to get consistent results every time -- especially with bread. This is the kitchen scale I use and I love it. It stands up to constant use, the bowl holds lots of flour or whatever, and it's pretty! Plus a temperature sensor, timer, and it's all stainless steel? Yes please!
For the Overwhelmed I-Haven't-Bought-New-Knives-In-This-Century Foodie
Kyocera Advanced Ceramic Revolution 3-Piece Ceramic Knife SetI got a set of ceramic knives from my husband for our anniversary and I just love them. They're super sharp and help whittle down my time in the kitchen. They stay sharp.
For the Overwlemed OMG-I-Need-Wine-NOW Foodie
Oster Rechargeable and Cordless Wine Opener with ChillerHow about a cordless wine opener with a chiller? It removes corks at the touch of a button. I love that because I don't know about you but I've screwed up way too many corks not paying attention to what I'm doing! The chiller keeps the wine cool for hours so there is plenty of time to chat... my friend and I will go through a bottle on a Saturday afternoon but it takes the whole afternoon -- we just sit and chat and pour wine... then repeat!
For the Overwhelmed What-In-The-Hell-Is-For-Dinner Foodie
Mexican Slow Cooker Cookbook: Easy, Flavorful Mexican Dishes That Cook Themselves- So yeah, this is one of my books but it is one of my favorites and it's got over 80 reviews and a 5 star rating so it's not just me saying it's good. Slow cookers save a huge amount of time but the recipes are usually so... blech. Dump in some meat and a couple of cans of condensed soup and dinner comes out 8 hours later, right? Predictable and bland. Well, I tried really hard to create easy dishes with authentic Mexican flavor for the slow cooker and I think I succeeded. Let me know if you think I succeeded, too.
For the Overwhelmed Crunchy-Granola-Mom Foodie

Zyliss Easy Pull Manual Food Processor and Chopper, Red
OK. First off, red is my color. Y'all know that. You might not know that I did try my hand at homesteading and trying to live (mostly) off grid. It wasn't for me but I still love appliances that are hand powered rather than electric powered and still keep things easy. This manual food processor gives you a little workout and gives your electric meter a rest. Plus it's just handy to have.
For the Overwhelmed Smoking-a-Brisket-in-Sub-Zero-Temps Foodie
Nordic Ware 365 Indoor/Outdoor Kettle Smoker
In Texas we have just a couple of things that are above barbecue in our hearts -- God, family, and football come to mind. I've seen people out on their back decks smoking a brisket in the sleet more than once in my life. Guess what? You don't have to do it anymore, y'all! This little beauty allows you to have smoked meats anytime!
For the Overwhelmed I'm-Low-Carbing-But-I-Gotta-Have-Pasta-Now Foodie
KitchenAid Spiralizer Attachment with Peel, Core and Slice
KitchenAid has joined the spiralizer revolution and created an attachment that creates noodles out of vegetables and even fruits. Imagine a pecan topping on apple noodles! The attachment makes it easy and it comes with blades in three sizes. Besides you can't have a Christmas gift guide for foodies without something from KitchenAid.
For the Overwhelmed Still-Wants-to-Be-Cute Foodie
Cute Red Cotton Flirty Vintage Cooking Retro Apron with Pockets Special
Cute, Cute, Cute apron in Restless Chipotle Red! I love this retro look!
For the Overwelmed Wish-I-Was-In-a-Paris-Pastry-Shop Foodie
Freshware SM-107RD 15-Cavity Small Silicone Mold for Caneles and Bordelais Fluted Cakes
I love my Canele pans! They make any cupcake or muffin batter look spectacular! They are super pretty and everything slides right out because they are silicone.
And... of course... there's always my favorite....
