Caramel mocha coffee is one of my favorite drinks. It’s a delicious combination of deep, dark coffee, rich caramel, and sweet chocolate topped with a thick froth. Added to your favorite mug it’s the perfect companion to a cold, drizzly day. It’s great with a long afternoon with a favorite book, or a quilt and a good movie, too! Steaming hot, yummy coffee is only half the equation — you’ve got to have a mug that feels just right in your hand. It has to have just the right weight and exactly the right feel against your lips.
Or maybe that’s just me.

I have several mugs I love– and each is for a different situation. My favorite mug for work is one my husband gave me last year. It says, “Pay no attention to my browsing history – I’m a writer not a serial killer.” It’s generally sitting next to my laptop, filled with regular coffee. Sometimes I splurge and put a fancy coffee drink in it.
My next favorite mug is actually a vintage mug that was my mom’s. We did a lot of car trips, she and I. There used to be a spot where you could stop for gas and food plus some souvenirs called Stuckey’s – some of you might remember it. Anyway, if you bought a mug you got free coffee and so my mom, being the frugal woman she was, bought one. Every time we stopped she got her coffee and saved some cash.
Well, eventually we stopped doing road trips. Honestly, I haven’t seen a Stuckey’s in forever! I still do have the mug though and I get it off the shelf when I am feeling emotional or miss her. It’s comforting and never fails to bring back years of memories.
I have a “#1 Mom” mug, and numerous mugs from clients. There’s even a mug from Food Network’s The Kitchen signed by the whole cast. When Community Coffee asked me to be part of their Show Your Mug, contest I was excited to do it. I get to share pictures of my favorite mugs AND tell you how to win a year’s’ supply of Community Coffee as well as other goodies!
How easy is that?
Obviously, you’re going to need something to put in that mug, right? Give this caramel mocha coffee recipe a try and see what you think. If you don’t have a frother you can easily froth the milk by putting it in the microwave and heating it for 30 seconds then pulsing it in the blender for 30 seconds.
