I reread my instructions and they were not clear - so I rewrote them. So sorry! You break up ONLY the cake in the 13x9 inch pan..The layer in the springform pan stays intact - it is the crust. I hope this is clear now. :)

You can store them in an airtight container in the pantry. Frankly, they only last a day or so here because they get gobbled up sp I dont know how long they would keep. At least a week.

Sandy, Thanks so much for posting this recipe! This is my Mom’s favorite cake and there is only one bakery that makes it. Next time I’ll make it for her. Blessings my friend. BTW – I pinned it

This looks wonderful and I'm excited to try it. I do have a question, though. Did I miss the point at which you insert the crust that you made for the cheesecake the day before? Does that go on the bottom of the springform pan before I pour the cheesecake batter in? Or am i turning out my cooled cheesecake onto the crust? Thanks!

Do you store them in a covered container in the cupboard after baking? How long will the saltines keep?

Anna, I am not sure. It seems that people either have great success or great failure with these. I use philadelphia cream cheese, do not use low or nonfat. Don't substitute anything. follow the directions carefully. If they still don't come out then I have no clues. Sorry.

I treid making these a couple of days ago, but the cream cheese mixture was far too runny and weighed down the rest of the cupcake. It also got crunchy and sticky. Any suggestions?

Chris - I just checked and it is 7.3 grams of fiber for one serving or 1/12 of the recipe. I use this nutrition calculator - you might find it helpful in the future. http://caloriecount.about.com/cc/recipe_analysis.php

I was wondering if you knew the fiber amounts in this recipe. I do a lot of cooking for people who do WWPP and they asked for the fiber. Thanks. These "burgers" are really good. Being a beef lover I was skeptical.
