From Memorial Day to Labor Day summer has a lot of entertaining opportunities. Independence Day is probably my personal favorite when it comes to entertaining. Memorial Day sort of kicks off summer vacation, Labor Day tells it goodbye, but the 4th of July is just there, being all glitzy and fun. Continue reading

The weather here in Texas has been gorgeous and has me thinking more and more about autumn and autumn recipes. Here is a menu for next week that I hope welcomes fall in for good!
In Texas the following items are in season, just replace items that are not in season in your area with items that are. Remember to shop local, fresh, organic, and seasonal! Continue reading →
Well, how did you like the menu last week? Did it work for you? Should I keep doing this?
Remember to feel free to make substitiions – it’s YOUR menu!

I will be creating menus with links to the recipes for the 5 weekdays. I figure on the weekends you can relax, eat out, or try out those new recipes you have been wanting to. He has been in Korea, Iraq (3 times), Kuwait, Alaska and who knows where else? All I know is that the hardest thing about having him in the military is not getting to see him for so long.
So, as I warned you at the beginning of the month, I was not going to be posting much. That doesn’t mean I didn’t cook. I have a bunch of recipes to post. Get ready!
During this time I also did a lot of thinking and praying about how to make RestlessChipotle more helpful. Continue reading →
