First, I would like to say that I call all soft drinks c-k-. If it has fizz and comes in a can it is c-k- — unless it’s beer and that’s a whole ‘nother story, isn’t it? So if I say c-k- with a lower case letter we all are on the same page, right? You know what I am saying? Soda. Pop. Fizzy water. In this case, Mountain Dew.
Good.
Mtn. Dew has been a favorite in this house for years. There is one other kind of c — soft drink I mean— that equals it but most of my kids like either. In addition it’s great for migraines. You didn’t know? Seriously, if you can catch your migraine or headache at the very beginning and take aspirin with a bottle of Mountain Dew nine times out of ten your headache will be gone.
It’s medicinal.
Now it comes in all kinds of colors and Ethan swears that the blue one will glow under a blacklight and therefore make an amazing party drink but I’m not so sure. I do know that if we have it in the house the kids will go through it — fast.
My preference is the Throwback Mtn. Dew because it is made with real sugar and you know how I feel about high fructose corn syrup. I hope they keep making it — the sugar kind. The truth is, since I had my thyroid out I really have to be careful of sugar and have joined the ranks of those that drink diet drinks.
Anyway —
So when the company contacted me to be part of their new promotion I considered it a long time. I want the products I promote to be in keeping with my standards and ethics and I want to be honest about everything. I never want any of you to feel that I let you down or sold out.
Truth be told, I like Mountain Dew. I don’t think you should drink tons of it but once in awhile? Why not?
There. I said it.
The people at Mtn. Dew are partnering with Dale Earnhardt Jr. to create a way for racing fans to be part of the action — which is pretty cool. Even to me, the anti-sports person. I even know who Dale Jr. is which is really good considering that I am generally clueless about sports. Some of my boys are racing fans but all of them are Mtn. Dew fans. Here’s a video about the “Dew Crew”. You watch it and I’ll catch ya on the other side.

So if you’re a racing fan, and I know some of you are — don’ t make me call you out — check out the Dew Crew page. Videos, voting, and lots of ways to interact with Dale Jr. that other people aren’t going to get to do because — well as we say on the RestlessChipotle facebook page hangin’ with the cool kids has benefits.
