Autumn is here!

O.k.. well sort of. The light has changed so it isn’t bright summer light but has more of a golden hue. And, we even got an unexpected cool front this week that dropped the temps into the 70s. In Texas? Inconceivable! Since we are at the end of August we are near Labor Day… It is just next week.

What are your traditional recipes for Labor Day?

We have always had a picnic and invited everyone but this year will be different as so many things have. I will be gone on a cruise for Labor Day and a sweet friend is going to be staying here with the kids. I told my friend and my other friend that they should just do the picnic without me… I plan on leaving a few yummy treats for them as well.

Labor Day is just another excuse to celebrate family and friends…and they go out of our lives so quickly don’t miss out on any opportunities to make memories and say I love you.
